Temperature Gauage

Asked by verninurunga Feb 12, 2019 at 09:31 PM about the 2012 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Limited

Question type: General

Hi, Does the temp gauge inside the car measure the outside temp or inside temp?

The (ambient) temperature gauge should be showing the outside temperatures. You can also be selecting Farenheit or Celicius temperature which may appear confusing. For example 70F is about the same as 20C. The sensor for this function may also be failing if your numbers are not making sense....if it's snowing, it's not 70F but it could be 20F. These sensors are located up front in the grille.
