Gauge going crazy!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My temperature gauge is all over the place! After 10-15 mins, the gauge goes
to really hot and then cools all the way down and then hangs out in the
middle. Not exactly sure what's going on, so I stopped driving it.

My guess is that you need a new thermostat. While you are at it you might want to flush the cooling system, install new coolant and radiator hoses.
