Engine starts to rattle for bit

Asked by GuruB5GYC Apr 30, 2019 at 10:42 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Passat GLS 1.8T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I have a problem with my car, that is everytime I start
up the car its starts to show the check engine light blinking
for a minute or two then stops blinking. I figure it was the
spark plugs and switch them and bought new ignition coils
but it continues to do the same. Any suggestions? Code is
p0300

Take it to a garage and have them hook up the ODBII codes and they should be able to tell you what’s wrong. The money you spent guessing could have paid for a diagnosis.
