Question type: General

Should the car warn you if you do not apply the
handbrake? Like an arert or something before you
exit the car... Should the car stop itself from
rolling?

Usually the car will alert you if you do not release the parking brake. The parking brake prevents the vehicle from moving after the shift lever is moved out from the parking "P" position. And yes, the car can stop itself from rolling once it hits another object, like a dump truck.
