I have a 1998 Honda accord that needs a alternator... will a alternator from a honda accord1996 work in mine

Need to know your engine size to answer that. Go to rockautoparts.com. Enter year make and model, then find alternator for your car, then click on info button and it will tell you all the cars that take the same alternator.
