Why are my rpms dropping slow?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when im on the highway going 80 at
3000rpms if i let go of the gas car drops to 65 at
a normal rate but but the rpms will be at 2500

Is this a question? The slower you go the slower the engine turns in a given gear.
