Emergancy break

My emergency break won't push back down by me
just pushing the button on the handle is there
something I have to press or is my E brake broken

sounds like the cables froze up,if you can get at the cables underneath you may be able to pull on them to release them. have someone push down on the handle at the same time. with e-brakes its use them all the time or don"t use them at all.
