how can I tell for sure that I have an EX or LX 2000 Honda Passport? I am trying to order a part, & EX or LX makes a difference.

Asked by jddordal Sep 04, 2014 at 08:39 PM about the 2000 Honda Passport 4 Dr LX SUV

Question type: General

I am trying to order a driver's door unit that controls the power windows and locks.
Whether it is an LX or EX matters here. How can I tell for sure if it is an EX or LX.
Edmunds says an EX has a moon roof, wood grained plastic dash, and an automatic
transmission.  The Honda dealership where I live in Orem, Utah does not know.  The
parts department said my VIN number is no help.  There are no insignias on the
exterior or interior.  My insurance company does not know, either.  One other source
said an LX only comes with a 5 speed manual transmission.  Mine has an automatic,
but no moon roof, a regular dash, and cloth seats.  Can you help before I order this
part?  Thanks much.  John Dordal  ps I had to indicate a trim level in the drop-down box
so I just entered 4 Dr LX SUV
