5.3 motor

If i have a 2003 chevy tahoe z71 with the 5.3 can i put a 2004 silverado 5.3 in it
without getting the computer redone?

From 2000 to 2005 you should be able to swap without reprogramming, 2006 there were changes to pedal and modules. You should be okay between the years 2003 and 2004.
