rear differential control module

Asked by Ron Jan 15, 2023 at 09:41 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Trax 1LT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was wondering if a rear differential control module can work intermittently?
like work fine for a week then throw codes and act up then work great again
for a few days and so on. Also if I installed an RDM from an auto wrecker
would it need to be programmed specifically to my trax?

Yes it needs to be made aware of the new component. Also make sure the mating surface is clean for grounding and connector issues are very common
