Sounds like it's fuel related. I suspect the fuel rail pressure sensor...fault code P0193. Scan for codes and see. Common on older Fords. Replace with original Bosch part from auto store. I'm not sure, just check it out, easy fix $50.

Replaced the sensor and the condition is still the same.

I'm sorry that didn't work but you have to confirm the problem with a fault code before replacing a part that is not yet proven defective. The only thing left in the fuel system is the pressure regulator and pump. Before replacing them, do a pressure test. Or maybe there's no spark.

No worries. Pressure test will be next and then if not a good scan tool. Thanks. Will let you know.

If the fuel pumps fails the pressure test (50-60 psi), remember the fuel pump runs off a fuse, a relay and an inertia switch that trips on severe impacts or road bump. The inertia switch is located in the back of the vehicle behind that pressed cardboard with an instruction sticker. Press it down and click it to reset like a breaker switch.
