I installed a used PCM in my 2001 SEL Ford Taurus, and the keys seem not to work; how would I program it to work with my original key?

Not much details, but I took the new needed PCM out, and returned the one I took out,so I could get home.

If you got the car started with the old one, what makes you think it's bad and you need to replace it?

It won't pass smog, and I had it looked over at Centric auto repair and I was told the PCM looks rigged up. That's why I'm trying to replace it FordNut, so that it will be that much closer to passing smog.
