What are the position for number one piston on a VTEC 3.0 motor and number for piston position

Putting the timing belt on it jumped time after I put
a new one on so I'm trying to get my position back
right in the the right spot but other side

What for and what position is piston one are they both up or ones up and 4 down or vice versa

The number one pistons on the back wall close to the firewall on the passenger side number 4 is it the front of the car on the passenger side
