2001 ford taurus se .. bank 1 & 2 running lean

Asked by kalan11 Sep 20, 2019 at 03:17 PM about the 2001 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car sat for about 5 years. Cleaned out gas tank, r&r fuel pump and fuel
filter, cleaned out injectors. Sometimes it runs like a champ and then it just
starts running really rough at idle and while driving approx. 2500 rpm. it will
fall on its face when accelerating, motor rpms still hold steady. then i feel a
clunk, like trans has kicked down or caught up, then it has power again.
kinda like running out of gas. My question is there a sensor or something i
can take off, clean, and put back on to help this problem?

mice will invade even a daily driver , if it sat some of the wiring was probably chewed on , look for any obvious problems
