Why do you list your Toyota Sienna XLE 7 passenger as having "Auto Access Sear"?

Asked by Lloyd Nov 05, 2017 at 04:09 PM about the 2016 Toyota Sienna XLE Premium 8-Passenger

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The Auto Access Seat is a very rare factory installed option.I think that I read
that there Toyota only manufactures 300 per year. If that is correct only one in
500 Siennas is equipped with an Auto Access Seat or probably one in 2000
XLE 7 passenger vehicles. The Auto Access Seat can also be ordered in the
LE. Anyway, I need to find a Toyota with the Auto Access Seat and you don't
make that easy.

Maybe the car actually has the option you want. Ask the seller to verify. 'We" do not sell anything. CG's only lists cars for sellers.

I have called several local dealers who listed Toyota Sienna XLE Passenger Auto Access Seat. None of them had the Auto Access Seat and none of them even knew what it is. I think that CarGurus just has "Toyota Sienna XLE 7 Passenger Auto Access" as a standard listing for any 7 Passenger Sienna. If I do a Google search on [site:cargurus.com Auto- Access] I get hundreds of hits.

I have had the same issue, these dealerships are using the "Auto Access Seat" trim selection when posting on Car Gurus, and they have no idea what it even is. My recommendation is that Car Gurus maybe put a pop up when someone list the "Auto Access Seat" filter option and contact the listing dealership or individual and clarify it that is actually what they have. F_O_R's response above is saying that they don't care what anyone post, so if a person subscribes to find a blue car and they set the filters to reflect that, and then they are getting red trucks in the respondent list, then it is the subscribers responsibility to clarify what was found in the Gurus listing. F_O_R, and Car Gurus can do better.

I am beyond frustrated with this as well. We have a boy that has been through a few surgeries to help him walk again and this seat is crucial for me to find. I have several compressed and bulging discs compounded by having to get him in and out of my current Sienna. We NEED this seat! Every time I search for the Auto Access Seat option I am excited to see hundreds of results but only 1 or 2 (if that) actually have the option! It’s beyond frustrating and I have spent countless pain-filled hours searching each listing with the hope that it actually HAS an Auto Access Seat. CarGurus is next to useless for finding this option reliably. Monday will find me calling local dealers and educating them about the Auto Access Seat to see if I can actually find one.

The Toyota Sienna Auto Access Seat was built to aid a variety of individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle. Whether you are taking care of an elderly individual or a parent of a child with a disability, the Auto Access Seat is designed to help you transport those who may otherwise have a difficult time boarding a vehicle. Designed as a bucket seat in the second row of the Toyota Sienna, the Auto Access Seat takes it to the next level by rotating 90 degrees, extending from the vehicle, and lowering to an appropriate height for the passenger to board.
