Trying to find out if all these problems are related to a rely, or come from same issue

Asked by RMittner1 Oct 01, 2014 at 11:20 AM about the 2002 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No power to A/C compressor, and Fans.
Brake lite lit on dash with no brake issues. No code on scan.
Door Locks do not work manually, or with remote.
All these issues happened at the same time, and I cannot figure out how to fix.

Yea all that has been tried by my mechanic who has been working on my cars for 35 + years. I said I would check on line to see if anyone has ran in to this.

Multiplex module behind fuse box. Cleared everything up.

2002 Honda Civic LX

About 3 weeks ago I went to start up my 2009 Honda Civic Sedan lx and lights came on and everything but wouldn't start. On the third time trying to start it none of the lights came on, so I changed the battery. I tried starting it with the new battery, all lights came on perfectly, but it wouldn't turn over. I changed the starter and the car ran fine with no problems for maybe 2 weeks. This morning I was driving down the road when the check engine light came on and the engine suddenly started to rev up uncontrollably. I was able to brake but it was very hard to do because the engine kept revving. Without my foot on the brake the car was going 30 something mph, when I braked and got below 15 I felt a hard downshift. Has anyone had these simliar problems or know what might have cause this kind of behavior? 3 Answers

Car sounds like I have a flat tire when driving, but all tires are fine and filled properly. The tires are wearing unevenly as well. They've replaced the engine mount (said it was vibrating too much) and nothing changed. Aligned it and nothing changed. Now they want to replace the compliance bushings, replace all the tires, and align them again. Would love to know what these symptoms can be attributed to (and if they've just been ripping me off!) 1 Answer

I checked online what the other signs of worn compliance bushings were (like a clunk when braking), but I've never had a clunk when braking.
