The car is running so it would not be the injectors. Leaking gas is extremely dangerous! This needs to be repaired ASAP.

Remember, it isn't the gas liquid that burns, it is the fumes. So if you smell gas coming from the car get it fixed ASAP.

Had the same problem on my girlfriend car. The smell was mostly coming from the driver side when the car was standing still. My fix to it wa's that I changed the canister purge valve ( dorman 911-754) . That fixed the issue with the gas smell but you may smell left over vapors that same day of the fix. The next day I got a service engine sign and automatically new the shut off valve (dorman 911-752) was the cause. After that I rested the service engine sign and been good since then. All parts I got off of amazon and cost me less than $60. If your having that issue best do both at once since the parts are not costly and you won't have to take out the canister twice. Look on YouTube for repair instructions. Also be ready with a vise and ratchet.
