Charged my battery backwards

Asked by Korre Jul 18, 2016 at 04:44 PM about the 2002 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was jumping my car off and I accidentally switched the
positive with the negative. I never turned on the car
because the horn started blowing and I knew something
was wrong. I changed the 100A fuse cause it was blown
and so I jumped my car off again and it started but it cut
off  after 15 minutes. So I had my battery checked and
Walmart said the battery was good, then I had my
alternator checked and it was bad. I replaced the
alternator and then jumped my car off and it crunk right
up. After about 20 minutes the car shut down once again.
Is there anything that i need to do or missing? Please
help?

Did you check the cars computer memory for any stored trouble codes? Not all codes will turn the check engine light on, but can still be stored in memory, so start by doing that.
