2003 Honda shuting off while driving

Asked by JH4915 Aug 09, 2017 at 11:27 PM about the 2003 Honda Civic EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. I have a 2003 honda civic. After
driving for a while it just shuts off and I
have to pull off the road. Sometimes it
cranks right back up as if nothing
happened while other times it takes a min
to crank back up. So far I have checked
the battery and the altenator and they are
both in great condition. I have replaced the
02 sensor, crankshaft sensor, catalitic
converter and cam sensor. Nothing is
working and money is limited. I need
advice or suggestions please.

Pull the ignition coil packs off one at a time and check the condition of those rubber grommets that fit over the plugs. If those are cracked or compromised it may cause the car to lose spark and stall. Did you get it scanned anywhere for codes? That situation is very dangerous and could cause a major accident not only for you but others driving around you.
