Youre speaking of the crank fluctuation sensor at the oil pump? Theres a way to intercept the signal from the cyp in the distributor and it's pretty easy, you do it at the connectors for the ecu behind the passenger side kick panel. I can't find my notes and diagrams on it but I had found it really easily in the Honda forums when I cleaned up a mess of a motor swap on a 2000 EL (99 crv engine, 2L)
