How to Adjust to 3000 rm the VTEC Engagement on Civic coupe

Just got installed a new motor, 1999 and the VTEC engagement is off of what it just to be on previous
motor, it kicks in at 4000 rm, can be adjust the engagement to 3000 rm?

I know this is late answer But 3000 rpm seems low for vtec engagment. Usually a SOHC vtec will engage at 4500-5000 rpm unless it was a VTEC-E which in that case ingages at 3000 rpm like your original motor. It is simular to the 1999 and up SOHC accords. So have in the vtec engage earlier will only hurt you in the long run. I hope that this answer helps

sorry I guess I didnt really answer the question... The only way to "adjust" VTEC is to spend the money on getting a ECU tune to have vtec adjusted to your liking

my question is how bad will it hurt your engine by engaging VTEC rpm at a lower RPM ???
