2004 Honda civic keeps stalling out!!

Asked by Heatherannbby Dec 19, 2015 at 06:47 PM about the 2004 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Honda civic lx. Only had the
car for about a year. When I got it the check
engine light was on and was throwing a cold
air Intake code. The check engine light has
gone off since than. A couple months ago
my car kept idling real low. Whenever I
come to a stop it will cut off on its own
without any warning. Sometimes whenever I
am driving down the road my car will start
hopping when I am pushing on the gas, and
will completely shut off. I am able to turn
the car back on again and keep driving
though. I have replaced the spark plugs and
battery recently.. Any suggestions when I
should start!?

1.check alternator and see if its not bad (autozone can check it) 2.make sure your timing is right! 3.check for vacuum leaks around intake manifold 4.check the distributor and the rotor within And 5. Make sure its not fuel injectors or fuel pump maybe it's just a dirty or bad fuel filter?!
