Dodge challenger headlight out

Asked by A6X Nov 09, 2018 at 12:23 AM about the 2016 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just had my driverside headlight stop working. Looked up
what the problem could be and people are saying that it
could just be a fuse. Some same that the fuse isnt even
bad and they just unplug it and plug it back in and it works.
I tried fuze 15, and cant find fuse 16.

The fuse my Mechanic ended up changed was fuse 20 it’s in the area where 16 would be. And when he pulled it this is what we seen. Once he order the special fuse and changed it I have not had a issue since.

This is what caused my 2015 Pass side HID to not work. Might not have been that number fuse but it was close by.

Have a 2008 Dodge Charger 3.5, low beam stopped working and a new bulb didn't fix it. I tested the low beam plug and found low voltage as it should be in the 14 volt range when running. I re-tested using the hot (white) low beam wire and tied to another ground point and the voltage was perfect! So the problem is a bad ground (black) wire in the original harness. Solution is clip the black ground wire from the harness leaving it in the plug and extend/tie to the ground nut directly below the headlights! Works perfect, had to do both low beams!
