brake lights stay on after turning off the engine on a honda accord 2004

The key/engine wouldn't have anything to do with brake lites. The brake lite fuse is hot all the time. If you pull up on the brake pedal do the brake lamps go out? The brake switch should be activated by the brake pedal arm, if you follow that arm up, you should find the switch. Maybe the pedal or switch is adjustable? If you pull the brake fuse, it should kill the lamp, for testing.
