Is diesel a better 3/4 ton truck purchase for hauling RV's as the primary use.

Question type: General

I am pricing GMC Sierra and Silverado 3/4 ton for the purpose of hauling RV's
across the country commercially. Is diesel a no brainer best choice or is gas
sufficient. Obviously I want to keep fuel costs low, but reliability and durability
are essential...and I am looking to cap by cost at $50k purchase price.

You don't say what weight you plan on hauling but if I were delivering RV's for a living I would probably buy a 1 ton or heavier truck. Perhaps a 4500 or 5500 instead of a 2500. I think diesel is the way to go.
