Intermittent problems with anything can be quite difficult to diagnose. So if the AC is working properly when it does run, why does it sometimes not turn on? Most of the time this is due to a faulty switch. Next time the AC doesn't come on, rapidly push the AC button and jiggling the AC rotating switch to see if this helps with contacts that are dirty or burned out. Then get an aerosol can of electrical contact cleaner. Remove the button cover and rotational wheel if you can. Spray fluid liberally into those areas and repeat aforementioned procedure..... If this doesn't change anything, the defect is in the climate control system and that panel will have to be replaced. You can buy one used for about a hundred bucks, and if you're handy, installation isn't too difficult: you can find videos online to help.

Thank you for trying to help me. My AC has been working perfectly fine the last couple of days but at anytime it won't work for like the whole day?? It's bizarre!! I bought a Fixed sensor and thought it would help diagnose a problem but it says everything is fine even though the light on my dash control panel is on that indicates I need maintenane on the car..
