Spare Tire in Versa 2016 Hatchback

Asked by GuruYSKL7 Apr 28, 2018 at 10:50 AM about the 2016 Nissan Versa Note SV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Question: Is there a way to secure the spare tire that comes with the car in the
interior trunk or is it not important as long as it is low and behind the rear
seat??? Thanks !
There are panel covers above. Note Manual page 6-3, describing underbody
bracket, too difficult to use.

Even if the tire is low and behind the rear seat, you need to secure it somehow. Believe it or not, loose objects inside a car can severely injure the occupants in an accident or even abrupt emergency braking. I know this for a fact, I am a retired Sheriff Deputy.
