Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2001 Ford Ranger 2.3 liter motor. Truck runs fine until I have to stop for any
reason. It won't idle. I am forced to put my foot on brake and gas at the same
time to keep it running.

Most likely a bad idle air control valve or circuit. The IAC governs air intake to the engine when idling.
