2005 Civic Hybrid Battery Pack Failed - Again

The first time my IMA and Check Engine
Light came on I was under the milage limit
for warranty replacement of the battery
pack. But the dealer still wanted $3,300 to
replace because of my salvage title. But
Corporate Honda said it was part of the
Safety System and made them do it for free!
But now I'm getting all the same lights and
engine codes. I'm a technical person and
am wondering if schematics and
aftermarket parts are available. I cannot
pass smog testing in California with my
check engine light. This is the last model
year where you can still drive the car when
the battery pack fails. I'm actually getting
BETTER gas milage.

Honda has extended their hybrid warranty a few more years and few thousand miles, so you should get yours replaced free of charge. Check here for more details: http://tinyurl.com/mw6s87d I am personally going to the dealership this Friday for an appointment to replace my hybrid battery (free under warranty) for the 2nd time in my 2005 Civic Hybrid. !st replacement was only 2 yrs ago at about 78k miles. Now I am at 101k miles and it has gone bad again.
