Transmission slipping or just kind of slow off the line?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2016 Nissan Versa, automatic
transmission.
I've started to notice that she's pretty
slow when I need to stomp on it. I
know she's not built for speed but
getting on the CA 91 freeway can be a
life and death struggle if you're just a
tad slower than most vehicles and I
DON'T play chicken with the big trucks
either.
Is this normal or something I should
have looked at by my mechanic?

PS, this is why I ride my bike rather than drive. Sometimes it's required.

I have a 2015 NISSAN VERSA NOTE. Changed the acceleration pedal, changed the throttle body, oil change, air filter change. All because the car would sputter on acceleration, then nothing happens. Stomp the pedal to the floor and no response. Put it in park or neutral and step on it and it responds but not on Drive or Reverse. I was told to change all of the aforementioned, and now I'm stuck on the side of the road again.
