I installed a front license bracket and plate on my 2016 750i xdrive. Now I'm receiving a notification that I have limited driver assistance. Was it installed incorrectly blocking sensors?

Back in 2016, front license plates were only loosely enforced, so the German manufacturers weren't paying much attention to accommodate the fatter U.S. plates. With the recent crackdown (especially in CA) this is an ongoing issue on cars older than 2018. Short answer: yes, you're blocking the sensor. Two possible fixes: re-drill and mount the plate frame a bit higher (1/4 inch should do it) or buy a tow-mount license frame (off to the side) however there's still a potential that will block a side parking sensor.
