Check engine light

Asked by TeaSea Nov 14, 2019 at 05:41 PM about the 2016 Dodge Dart Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’m going on a long trip and don’t want to
travel with my check engine light on. I went to
O’Reillys and they told me it could be
because of the temperature dropping or my
thermostat is bad. It’s been three days and
the light is still on.They said it should go away
after a day but nothing has changed. I have
checked the coolant and it’s not low other
than that what should I do?

We would need the 4 digit trouble code that O'Reilly's read on the scanner to start giving you suggestions. ex. P0300

We changed the headlights in a 2013 Dodge Dart and now the check engine light is on. Can you please give us some insight on why this would have happened
