Your owners manual will tell you how to do it !

But it does not. Went over all the books given to me. It tells you how to change the speedo but for the climate control.

I would bet a $100 that your owners manual does tell you how. Re- read it.

I have re-read it, had my husband re-read it and still no way of changing it. Called the dealership and now have to take it in.

I found out the answer. It is an air sensor in the front bumper of the car. It was destroyed. Now it is fixed and working fine.

I have had the same problem cant seem to do it manually and the owners manual suggestions doesnt make the change. Is this an issue all the time or a recall issue?

I recently had a similar problem on my 2013 Equinox. Specifically, after my battery died, my climate control would display Celsius (Centigrade) instead of Fahrenheit. Also, I noticed the exterior temperature was no longer displaying in my MyLink infotainment screen. What fixed the issue for me was to unplug the air sensor (which reverted the climate control to Fahrenheit) and then plug it back in (which left climate control in Fahrenheit and added the exterior temperature to the infotainment screen). The air sensor on my 2013 Equinox was located on the passenger side in the grille below the license plate. There's a little catch on the back side to release the plug which can be hard to see unless you twist the sensor and look at it from closer to the center of the car with a flashlight.

disconnecting the sensor and plugging it back in took care of it

Wish FOR was still around, he ows a couple people here a hundred bucks, this info is NOT in the manual. Tried the sensor dq on a 2014, didn't change. Thought it would also throw a code of some sort during the ECM checks, but nothing. Same deal as with the above owner, batt died, ect. Maybe try a new sensor.

My owner manual doesn’t say either. I’m going to try to unplug the sensor because my battery died earlier today we will see if that works.
