Yes there is, they typically look like locking lug nut keys (a metal tube looking device). Generally the key is kept in the glove box or center console.

Are you talking about the metal insert on the bumper, which when removed, allows one to insert the tool to crank down the tire from its locking position under the car? If so, the ignition key should work.
