Why does my courtesy lamp not come on when I enter or exit?

Is there a setting that could be turned off? I don't understand the problem!

Look for a small switch on the lamp it self, adjust to see if the switch poison was set to "off". (there could be 3 sets of poisons to chose from) In your vehicles, there could be a dash switch or knob which would need to be turned on or off as to allow for the dome lamp to turn on. Lastly, the bulb could be burned out.
