Front headrests in 2016 Ford Expedition EL

Asked by Guru9XQLW Jun 21, 2017 at 07:41 AM about the 2016 Ford Expedition EL XLT 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I'm interested in replacing the original
headrests with ones that do not slant
forward at the top. Are there other Ford
vehicles that have the same post size and
spacing but not the forward tilt? If not, where
can I buy after market headrests.
The position of these headrests cause me
pain in my neck and back within about an
hour of driving.

I rather doubt it. Head rests are usually adjustable. Read your owners manual for instructions.

I am interested in the same issue. I leased a new Ford Expedition Platinum with DVD players in the headrests about a week an a half ago. I was super excited about the new Ford but now I'm having so much pain in my neck and now nerve pain going down my arms that I actually hate getting into my new vehicle to drive. The headrests with the DVD push out into the drivers seat area several inches. Its super uncomfortable. I never had this issue with my Chevy Suburban or Honda prior to this. The few passengers I've had in the front seat have complained that the headrests are not comfortable either. They cannot be adjusted to push backward, only forward. It seems like a design flaw.

Interested in the same. Did you ever find a solution/replacement? (Aside from buying a new vehicle.) We have a 2016 Lincoln Navigator. Some owners manuals speak of adjustable head rests. How do we get our hands on these? Google, Ebay, Amazon searches turn up nothing but OEM non- adjustable. Please don't respond if you're going to suggest 'adjusting' them up or down.
