Question type: General

Clock on my 2016 Sorento SX stopped working.  I see suggestions to remove the SD card.  The reset button did not work.  Where is and how do you remove the SD card

reset the system by holding down the reset button for 10-20 seconds with a pen. the reset button is in the upper right above the row of buttons. I had the engine running when I did this. this worked on 2017 kia sorento

My Kia Sorrento 2016 SX clock disappeared a week ago and taking the SD card out while running for a few mins and putting it back in worked like a charm!! Thank you!

Took my 2016 Sorento to the dealership and they tried to remove SD card and reset and it DID NOT WORK! They said Kia has to create a fix for it. Apparently certain Kia vehicles this procedure does not work. So now I’m stuck with no clock. :-(

I had no reset button, Next to CD insert there is a small plastic cover SD map, pick up underneath is an SD card remove and clock will reset

So my 16 Sorento SX stopped working over a week ago now. I've taken the sd card out, reset button repeatedly, and disconnected the battery. Any other suggestions?? My car is out of warranty so of course they want to charge me for their glitch to fix it!! Do you all have the navigation as well?

If it's a 2016 then you still have warranty, It's 5 years. And it's also their issue and nothing you did caused the clock to stop working. Tell them that!

Re: clock issue. I have a '16 Sorrento w/technology package. I tried the hard reset & removing/replacing the fuse. Nothing worked. Weirdly my keyless/handsfree tailgate opening feature also stopped working -- not sure if it's related. I took the vehicle to Kia Carson (CA), and once I had convinced them that there was actually an issue out there, they asked around and said that they had received an email that Kia was going to be providing an "update" that would fix the problem. They didn't say when.
