Did you flush the entire fuel system including having the fuel tank steam cleaned? You may still have injector and pressure regulator problems depending on how long the sugar sat in them.
LEGEND: sugar will dissolve in the gas tank, and when the gas is pumped to the engine, the dissolved sugar will caramelize in the combustion process. This then coats the engine's components, completely ruining it..... TRUTH: sugar does not dissolve in gasoline. If sugar is poured into a gas tank, it will remain in its granular, sediment state and settle to the bottom. Even if the sediment is disturbed, it won't pass through the finest filters..... However, sugars can get through some filters. So, it's likely that some of that sediment could migrate past fuel filters before completely clogging them and a small amount of sugar could reach fuel injectors. For safety sake, follow GAs advice and clean the sugars out of the entire fuel delivery system.
