Faulty push start ignition

Asked by Amy Mar 24, 2023 at 12:52 PM about the 2015 Ford Edge SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2015 Ford Edge has needed jumps several times
a month for about 3 months. Battery, alternator, and
starter all check out fine. Somebody suggested push
to start ignition switch issue or brake pedal switch.
Can anybody provide additional insights?

Why don't you get codes read and take it to a real mechanic to find out what's really wrong and have it fixed right? It might be a defective ignition switch, but spending hundreds to fix that when it's not the problem is kinda stupid. You pay a mechanic to do what you can't do, and they usually get it right the first time.
