2001 Ford Expedition 4.6 V8 running badly.Any help?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition with a 4.6 V8. It has been running rough and gave me the Service Engine Soon light. I read the codes and it gave me the PO304  "cylinder misfire" code and the PO354 "coil D circuit malfunction" code.I changed the #4 coil pack first. No luck, melted the guts. Changed again including the plug. Still no luck. (All the plugs/coil packs were changed 6 months ago.)Any ideas?

Is the wire or plug running to the coil damaged in any way? Start at the coil and follow it back as far as it goes. Look for nicks, cuts, melted wires or bad plugs/connections.

I had to change the plug earlier this year because it cracked and broke the last time I changed the coil pack. I used quality connectors I thought.

I would check the wires leading to the coil. When the plug broke where you able to get the broken piece back out?

I had the same problem I change my coil because my engine check light kept coming after I change my coil because that's what the computer kept telling in it was that I had a leak in my manifold in it went to my coils
