Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the car will start after a jump and run fine but when sitting for awhile the
battery will drain out again. ive checked the fuses and they are fine, replace
the starter soloid, and check wires and cables to battery and they seem
fine. when the car is running and i rev the engine the battery gauge doesnt
move at all and it stationary. any ideas what this issue might be??? i was
thinking the ALT and i think its the orignal but want to see if anyone else
had a quicker fix. thanks
