I was diving when I heard a loud popping noise now it sounds like a motorcycle and it wont go over 25 mph i can smell gas too.

is it a repeated popping sound that almost sounds like air rifle fire? if so you probably shot a spark plug from the head. helicoil it.

No it was just one loud popping noise, but i have the motorcycle noise regardles whether in idle or drive. Could it be the exhaust manifold?

could very well be but i would pop the hood and check where the sound is coming from. also check all of the coil packs and spark plugs. happened twice on my truck but never had a problem with the exhaust manifold.
