Question type: General

Is it ok to keep my 95 gmc k1500 in 4low when I
shut the engine off. Need to use 4 low to drive
about 100 yards down to a river and worried I wont
have the room to put it back in 4 low if I take it out
of 4 low.  This is a very steep grade. 4 low is a
must.

4low is just fine as long as you drive in the dirt.

Is it ok to shut the engine off while in 4low or do I need to take it out of 4low first?

I see no reason why you cannot unless you know of a problem with the transfer case.
