Flexfuel issues

Fiance "inherited" 2015 Ford Focus SE, 4cyl E85 flex fuel. We've been using 87 in fuel system since she got it, and Everytime we fill it, it takes forever to start, gotta rev the motor to get & keep it running, & hope it doesn't die when put into gear (auto tranny)... After we get it to run, and drive, it's fine, till we go to fill it again! Wtf? Please help. TIA
