Look on the isde of the cover on your fuse box and or look in the owners manual that should tell you every thing you are looking for

Usually, it is the Master switch that has failed. The fuse box cover will only give you fuse numbers - you'll need the manual to decipher which fuse is which. Question: does the window motor make any sound when you press the switch in either direction? If it does make some noise - failed window regulator i if it does not, it's usually the switch. Fuses blow because of a short circuit. Besides, which window switch gets the most use and the most weather exposure?

If you have a new motor like had just bought, unhook the existing motor and plug in the new one, and see if the motor will go in the up and down motion with out installing the motor. If it does, it’s the regulator. As where in my case installed new motor and and the motor will rotate in the down motion only up motion it’s gots to be the switch I’m guessing
