I have a basic model - automatic transmission - 2015 Veloster. If I have a special
Veloster trailer hitch installed, would I be able to tow a mini trailer weighing
approximately 1,000 lbs.?

read your owners manual. it will tell you the maximum weight trailer you can pull. most times the limiting factor is the brakes. the car wasn't built with brakes to stop the additional weight.
