Why doesn't Ford (and most other Car Manufacturers) use catch cans?

Asked by Takeda May 22, 2016 at 04:27 PM about the 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew LB 4WD

Question type: General

I'm against using a catch can on my vehicles. Just curious why Ford, and other manufacturers, don't use them?

Thank you for your answer! They are also claiming that intake valve coking is reduced with DI. They are counting on combustion vapors, and oil vapors will condense in the cans. The problem I have, when the cans get hot, condensation of these vapors are going to be drastically reduced, and these vapors are going to enter the intake anyway. Any comments? Thanks again!!
