1996 Yukon won't start in rainy/foggy weather

Asked by GuruXF4H7 Nov 18, 2018 at 08:47 AM about the 1996 GMC Yukon SLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

5.7 l engine, power brakes and steering, cruise control, air con, power windows and driver's seat. It will also quit completely, even at operating temp when driving thru wet, slushy snow. Dist cap, rotor, coil, and plug wires are all brand new. Sometimes, but not always, if I spray WD-40 over all ignition components, it will start.

1 Answer

As I pointed out above, all ignition components were replaced two weeks ago yet problem persists!
