trying to put in seat covers

Do you mean front or rear? Actually that is a rhetorical response, sorry. You need not remove entire seat, be it front or back to put on seat-covers. For the front, my suggestion is to have it done at an upholstery shop or dealer, if you really want them that much. For the front, there are many electronic components that you really should not fool around with ..... SRS, DCM (Data Collection Module) the device that records all data if you have a TC, it records throttle position, brake, gear, and much more. All connected to seat. Removing a seat from a Corolla, or any newer car these days is not as simple as unbolting it. I call them FREED, Frustrating Ridiculous Expensive Electronic Devices. Sorry, but it's not an easy thing on a '15 Corolla to just remove seat.

Sorry. Its the back seat. Front seats were easy. I guess I'll have to take somewhere

First, no apology necessary Then, that would be to your benefit to get the best quality job. I'm not insinuating that you don't know what you are doing, but a pro always (eehh, usually) is best
