my 96 gmc suburban will not start. engine rotates. noticed a couple of days before a hesitation when accelerating. truck sat over the weekend went to warm it up monday morning and it stalled out after running for about 5 minutes. has gas, no water in lines,no leaks, i can hear the fuel pump when i first trun on the ignition. replaced the fuel filter and the battery is new. she has 225,000 miles. i replaced the plugs 2 years ago have owned the old girl for over 10years

fuel pump turn your key on if you don't hear a humming from the fuel pump that's the problem I had the same problem theres a short in the pump

if replaced fuel filter... bad fuel pump and/or fuel pump relay. i have seen clogged filter cause a pump to short and also a fuel pump relay to become defective. on these gm products. i suggest to replace both, should be cheap... its a gm
